The assistant coach will lead the JV team and assist the head coach in building a program with a solid foundation that teaches student-athletes technical and tactical skills, as well as other valuable life skills, through competition.
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Girls JV/Assistant Soccer Coach to join our dynamic sports program. In this role, you will support the head coach in developing young athletes’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire student-athletes, enhance their athletic abilities, and contribute to their personal growth through sports. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for coaching, strong communication skills, and a passion for youth development in a competitive yet supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and executing soccer practices and game strategies tailored for junior varsity girls’ teams
- Support athlete skill development through sports-specific training instruction and coaching techniques
- Help manage team behavior, promote good sportsmanship, and ensure a safe playing environment during practices and competitions
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff to foster a positive team culture
- Lead warm-ups, drills, and conditioning exercises while demonstrating proper techniques in soccer and related sports such as basketball or cheerleading when needed
- Support health and safety protocols by operating AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment when necessary and ensuring emergency procedures are followed
- Contribute to the overall organization of team logistics, including scheduling practices, games, and transportation arrangements
- Other duties as assigned by the head coach
Pay: $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per year
