With a flagship office in Mount Pleasant and a second location opening in downtown Charleston, we are seeking a welcoming and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team.
Job Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in creating a warm, professional, and seamless patient experience. This role combines customer service with administrative support to keep our practice running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with professionalism, warmth, and hospitality
- Schedule and manage patient appointments across multiple providers and locations
- Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate collection of intake forms and payments
- Maintain front desk, lobby, and reception areas in an organized, welcoming manner
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and patient communication
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
- Uphold HIPAA standards and ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately, responding to emails, and patient inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate filing systems for documents.
- Utilize QuickBooks for basic bookkeeping tasks and manage accounts as needed.
- Handle calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain office organization through effective time management and clerical duties.
- Assist with proofreading documents to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for various administrative tasks.
- Support the team with any additional office management duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Prior experience in a medical office, wellness clinic, spa, or hospitality setting (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — friendly, patient, and professional
- Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems (Cerbo EMR experience a plus)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for helping people
Schedule
- Full-time preferred: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Flexibility for part-time may be considered
