Texas Therapy Consultants is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide school-based counseling and mental health support to students. This position is ideal for an LPC who is passionate about helping children and adolescents develop emotional wellness, coping skills, confidence, and positive relationships within the school environment.
The LPC will work closely with students, families, teachers, administrators, and campus teams to provide individualized counseling services and support student well-being and success.

Position Overview
Texas Therapy Consultants is seeking a full-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide school-based counseling services. The LPC will provide individual and small-group counseling, support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs, and collaborate with campus teams to promote positive mental health and student success.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group counseling services based on student needs.
- Support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, and adjustment-related challenges.
- Develop and implement appropriate counseling goals and interventions.
- Help students develop coping skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs.
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention when appropriate.
- Participate in student support meetings and collaborate on intervention strategies.
- Promote positive mental health, emotional wellness, and school engagement.
- Communicate with families regarding student progress and counseling needs, as appropriate.
- Connect students and families with community resources and additional support services when needed.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional and district requirements.
- Follow all applicable confidentiality, mandated reporting, ethical, and professional standards.
- Advocate for student well-being, safety, and equitable access to mental health services.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling or a related mental health field.
- Active and unrestricted Texas Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license required.
- Experience providing counseling services to children or adolescents preferred.
- School-based or pediatric mental health experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health, behavioral health, and evidence-based counseling strategies.
- Understanding of mandated reporting requirements and confidentiality standards.
- Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with campus and clinical teams.
