Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Private Practice Clinician to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and clinical counseling services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, solution focused therapy, and play therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for accurate medical documentation, progress notes, and treatment updates.
- Engage in case management activities including patient assessment, follow-up care coordination, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Provide specialized services such as addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, behavior management for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and support for co-occurring disorders.
- Maintain ongoing professional development by participating in clinical research initiatives and staying current with evidence-based practices in behavioral health.
- Communicate effectively with clients about their treatment progress while ensuring compliance with clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA standards.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings within a private practice or clinic environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and evidence-based interventions.
- Experience working with individuals, children, couples and families, as well as those with co-occurring mental health and medical conditions such as chronic pain or Geriatrics populations.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Skilled in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention procedures across diverse client needs.
- Telehealth experience is highly preferred to facilitate remote patient care while maintaining high-quality clinical standards.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health assessments and treatments is essential for comprehensive patient care documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within clinical documentation standards while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
