Duties and Responsibilities
Team members will be involved in all phases of the product development lifecycle, providing valuable insight, contribution and support.

Join in innovative idea generation and product development processes.

Contribute to system-level architecture design and reviews.

Evaluate projects and create task breakdowns and manpower estimates.

Develop functional block diagrams and edit/modify existing 3D models of products.

Create and maintain library component models and metadata.

Assist in development and evaluation prototypes of products.

Development and maintenance of test fixtures and support systems.

Travel Required: Minimal with opportunities for on-site customer debug and support
Hours: Nominal 40-hour workweek with appreciation for work/life balance
Working Conditions: Business casual office setting located at our engineering/research facility and laboratory
Education: B.S. mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
Experience: Design in SolidWorks 3D drafting and basic drafting standards
Requirements: Designs develops and test all aspects of the mechanical components of Milbank products. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design mechanical and electrical products.
Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of ME fundamentals: material sciences, construction and fabrication techniques, considerations for production, static and dynamic analysis, environmental effects on materials and dimensional stability, etc.

Adept at creating 3D models and relational drafting techniques

Basic understanding of molded part design: dies, flow, draft, limitations

Basic understanding of component manufacturing: machine limitations, efficiencies, etc.

Familiarity with basic metal shop tools and fabrication techniques

Familiar with theories of failure analysis and robust system design
