Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Infant/Pre-K Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development in infants and pre-kindergarten children.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Provide individualized child development instruction tailored to each child's unique needs, including special education and early intervention techniques.
- Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress reports, and documentation of child milestones in accordance with educational standards.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental achievements.
- Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that enhance learning outcomes across all developmental domains.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience developing curriculum content related to literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and standardized testing preparation is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and child welfare standards is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are advantageous.
