Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the police department’s daily operations, ensuring effective law enforcement practices across all divisions.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic plans to enhance public safety and departmental efficiency.
- Oversee criminal investigations, ensuring thoroughness and adherence to legal standards .
- providing mentorship, conflict management, and performance evaluations to cultivate a motivated and disciplined team.
- Coordinate with community organizations, local government officials, and other emergency services to promote collaborative safety initiatives.
- Oversee report writing processes for incidents, investigations, and departmental activities to maintain accurate records for legal proceedings.
- Conduct regular training sessions in first aid, CPR, law enforcement tactics, security measures, and animal care to keep staff prepared for diverse situations.
- Manage departmental resources including vehicles—requiring driving proficiency—and surveillance equipment to optimize operational readiness.
