We're looking for an Operations Specialist who is detail-oriented, analytical and passionate about protecting our members and organization through strong operational support, fraud prevention, and process improvement. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Support daily operational workflows and assist with administrative functions, intake routing, and documentation preparation.
- Investigate fraudulent activity, coordinate loss recovery efforts, and support fraud prevention initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and implement procedures designed to detect and prevent fraud.
- Educate employees on identifying and responding to potential security threats and fraudulent activity.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including NCUA and Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and maintaining records to support audit readiness.
- Analyze operational processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare reports, presentations, summaries, and department documentation.
- Serve as a resource for internal teams and assist with complex operational inquiries.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies when necessary.

What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in operations, compliance, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and member service abilities.
- Understanding of credit union operations and financial products.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention practices and security measures.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related operational systems.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
