Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as an Overnight Mental Health Technician! This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive during nighttime hours and are eager to contribute to supporting adolescent girls in a mental health residential program. In this important role, you will provide compassionate overnight supervision and support to teen girls ages 12–17 who are navigating mental health and trauma-related challenges. You will contribute to providing a safe, therapeutic environment for adolescent girls in crisis, assistance with morning routines, and nightly cleaning. Your proactive approach and cleaning skills will help facilitate stability and cleanliness, while working within a collaborative team committed to excellence in behavioral health services.
Duties
- Monitor and observe patients continuously to identify changes in behavior or condition, ensuring safety at all times during overnight shifts
- Assist with crisis intervention strategies, de-escalating situations with compassion and professionalism to maintain a calm environment
- Support teens with daily activities, including bedtime/morning routines and medication administration under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the home (cleaning, laundry, dishes)
- Assist with meal preparation and storage
- Document patient behaviors, interventions, and progress accurately in logs
- Maintain a secure environment by adhering to policies, behavioral management protocols, and safety procedures
- Participate in shift handoffs by providing detailed reports on teens status and any incidents that occurred during your shift
- Complete accurate documentation of overnight observations and incidents
Shift:
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM weekdays/weekends
- Open availability preferred
- Must be available at least one weekend per month
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Highschool diploma/GED
- Must pass a clean background check
- Available at least 4 days per week
- Able to start within 2 weeks of a job offer
- Strong cleaning and organizational skills
- Experience with youth, mental health, or residential care preferred
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
- Relevant certifications such as CPR/First Aid are a plus, but are not due until after hiring
