Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix Downtown – State Capitol is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Night Auditor to join our front office team. If you enjoy working independently, providing exceptional guest service, and have strong attention to detail, this could be the perfect opportunity.
As the Night Auditor, you are responsible for ensuring the hotel operates smoothly overnight by assisting guests, balancing daily financial transactions, completing the night audit process, and preparing the hotel for the next business day.
Essential Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with friendly, professional service while checking guests in and out.
- Process reservations, room changes, and guest requests.
- Complete the nightly audit and end-of-day accounting procedures.
- Balance cash, credit card transactions, and daily reports.
- Prepare and distribute required overnight reports.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain security of the hotel during overnight hours.
- Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries.
- Restock the front desk market and supplies as needed.
- Prepare coffee and ensure the lobby is clean and guest-ready for the morning.
- Communicate important information to the morning shift through detailed shift notes.
- Follow all IHG brand standards and hotel policies.
- Assist with light housekeeping or maintenance-related guest requests when appropriate.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or Night Audit experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience with HotelKey PMS is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and cash handling skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform light cleaning and stocking duties.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
