Job Description

Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor when communicating with patients both in person and over the phone.

Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling appointments.

Scan and upload patient and office documents accurately into the electronic medical record system.

Verify patient insurance eligibility and confirm referral requirements prior to appointments.

Submit prior authorization requests for applicable procedures and services.

Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring accurate documentation and patient flow.

Collect copayments, outstanding balances, and process patient payments in accordance with office policies.
Qualifications

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of reliability and professionalism.

Proficient computer skills required, including experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively as part of a team.

A minimum of one year of experience working as a medical receptionist is required.

Previous dermatology experience is preferred but not required.
