Job Summary
Westview Concrete Corporation, a family-owned ready-mix concrete and builder supply company in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, has been in business for over 50 years. We are in need of a part-time accounting assistant who is responsible for basic accounting and administrative functions. We are seeking someone who is proactive and detail-oriented, this position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong office management and clerical experience to grow their career in a fast-paced environment.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities
- Review, reconcile and bill daily COD invoices, ensuring charges are properly priced and all payments have been collected.
- Enter weekly payroll into Sage 100 accounting system. This includes payroll, taxes, 401K and employee withholdings.
- Update and maintain summary payroll spreadsheets.
- Prepare monthly intercompany billing.
- Assist with month-end close process.
- Other administrative responsibilities include copying, scanning and filing.
- Potential back-up for billing and accounts payable.
Accounting Assistant Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years in an accounts payable or accounts receivable environment.
- Associate’s degree in accounting or related field will substitute for one year of experience.
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information both internally and externally.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently.
- Strong work ethic and reliability are imperative.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Sage 100 helpful.
