Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our transportation team. This role requires a commitment to safety, and the ability to respond promptly to traffic and emergency situations. The Bus Driver plays a vital role in maintaining reliable transportation services while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate buses in accordance with traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and company policies.
- Transport passengers to and from work sites while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify mechanical condition and report any issues promptly.
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and emergency stop procedures.
- Maintain discipline among passengers when necessary, applying behavior management techniques.
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or route adjustments to ensure timely arrivals.
- Comply with all vehicle codes, state and local driving laws, and school or transit policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in bus driving.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to perform mechanical checks and basic vehicle maintenance understanding.
- Strong communication skills in Spanish; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Skilled in defensive driving techniques and quick response to traffic changes.
- Good written skills for reporting incidents or completing documentation accurately.
Pay: $1,600.00 per week
