Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of residential/commercial electrical experience. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across residential and commercial settings. Your deep knowledge of electrical circuitry, troubleshooting, codes, schematics, and safety procedures will ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects including whole home rough-ins, service upgrades, lighting retrofits, remodels, and generator installations to name a few.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts for new builds, additions, and extensive remodels
- Perform electrical diagnostics to isolate electrical problems and apply the correct the repair.
- Conduct service upgrades for residential customers, ensuring that all wiring is properly landed in the panel and all circuits tested.
- Conduct routine temp lighting installations and rough-ins on construction sites and renovation projects.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of work to protect yourself, colleagues, and homeowners from hazards associated with electrical work.
- Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years’ experience as an electrician with a proven track record in residential and commercial environments.
- Strong logic skill to be able to efficiently and accurately diagnose problems and implement resolution
- Extensive knowledge of NEC standards as well as state and local requirements.
- Strong ability to read and interpret and follow electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and product install documents.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools
- Experience working from heights, ladders, lifts, etc.
- Comfortability working in all weather conditions
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team on renovation or construction projects requiring precise electrical work.
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations for safe installation practices.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle without restriction
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily
- Ability to work with others and collaborate on larger projects, including being able to lead an electrical helper
- Must be able to pass a background and preliminary drug test
