Job Title: Intermediate Elementary Teacher (Grades 3–6)
Job Summary
The Intermediate Elementary Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to students in grades 3–5. This role focuses on developing students’ academic skills, critical thinking, and social-emotional growth in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum

Plan and deliver lessons aligned with state standards in core subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies)

Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning

Differentiate instruction for students with varying abilities
Assessment & Progress Monitoring

Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments

Analyze data to guide instruction and improve student outcomes

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents

Maintain accurate records of student performance
Classroom Management

Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

Implement effective behavior management strategies

Promote respect, responsibility, and collaboration among students
Student Development

Support students’ social-emotional development

Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independence

Recognize and respond to individual student needs
Collaboration & Communication

Qualifications
Education & Certification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
-
Valid state teaching license/certification for elementary education
Experience
-
2–5 years of teaching experience preferred

Experience teaching intermediate elementary grades (3–6) is a plus

Work Environment
