Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards, including aseptic techniques.
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures such as general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring chairside support with precision and professionalism.
- Take dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix , ensuring all medical documentation and records are accurate, complete, and HIPAA compliant.
- Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments.
- Understand insurance breakdowns and benefits.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.Requirements
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure in accordance with state or regional regulations.
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in dental software Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; experience with medical imaging tools like 3D scanners is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
