Summary/Objective:
The Dishwasher-Porter is responsible for assisting Chefs and Cooks with maintenance of a clean and orderly kitchen area and the tools required for meal preparation and guest service. The Porter will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment while ensuring clean cooking tools and dishware remain available throughout service.

· Demonstrates compliance with company standards, policies/procedures, and health and safety codes and regulations
· Washes and appropriately stores dirty dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment; informs their supervisor when food supplies are low
· Assists with basic food prep and measurement of ingredients per the Chef’s instructions
· Completes cleaning duties and assists with maintenance of an orderly kitchen and surrounding areas.
· Ensures adherence to food, health, and safety regulations while carrying out basic kitchen duties
· Other duties as requested

· Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including long shifts

Work Environment: Fast-paced restaurant environment; kitchen environment; frequent exposure to cold (freezer) and hot (kitchen) temperatures; frequent exposure of hands to hot and cold water
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to work long hours primarily standing and/or walking with few breaks
· Light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds frequently
· Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
· Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers
Position Type and Hours:

Required Education and Experience:
· Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
