WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Clean Park, buildings, and picnic sites.
●
Clean and stock public restrooms.
●
Set up and take down tables and chairs for events in our venues.
●
Refuse collection and removal.
●
Cleaning of walks, drives and roads.
●
Perform all related work as required by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Custodial &Events Crew Leader.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Tower Grove Park seeks a team member who enjoys being outside, engaging with visitors, and working with their hands in a sometimes fast-paced environment. This position is part of the team that is essential to providing clean and well-maintained facilities for our guests and visitors. A successful applicant will demonstrate that they have an attention to detail, practice good communication skills, and display positive customer service skills. The ideal candidate for this position is at least 18 years of age, has a valid driver’s license and has customer service experience. Any additional experience related grounds maintenance a plus. WAGES & BENEFITS This position is non-exempt, and the starting pay is $15.50 per hour with some overtime hours available. Tower Grove Park offers a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time employees. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance as well as a traditional retirement plan (pension) with a five-year vestment schedule. Tower Grove Park observes 12 paid holidays in addition to 17 days of paid time off per year and reduced cost for use of park facilities.

In order to meet the operations needs of the Park, this position works a modified schedule as follows which can be adjusted slightly depending on the needs of the successful candidate:
- Mid-March through early November (“Picnic Season”): Friday through Tuesday, 12pm - 8pmwith off days of Wednesday and Thursday.
- Early November through Early March (“Off Season”): Friday through Tuesday, 10am - 6pm with off days of Wednesday and Thursday.
This position includes exposure to a wide variety of outdoor working conditions, including but not limited to dust, snow, rain, heat, and physical hazards associated with working in this environment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Applicants are required to pass pre-employment drug (excluding THC) and background checks, must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
