We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team. The Heartland Companies wants to engage someone who desires to grow within a competitive atmosphere where they can meet professional and personal growth opportunities. Self-starters with great work ethic are an ideal candidate. Duties will include managing the interior finishing on commercial construction projects. Great communication skills and a sense of urgency are a must!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:

- Track and document Heartland job production results
- Create Submittal packages, log and track progress, and distribute for appropriate action
- Attend and participate in jobsite specific meetings
- Project accurate monthly job costs for work-in-progress reports
- Maintain accountability for job financial performance, including gross margin relative to estimate, timely billing, and proactive identification of cost or scope risks.
- Provide feedback on estimating accuracy and project outcomes to support continuous improvement.
- Identify, price, document, and pursue all change orders in a consistent and timely manner; ensure no material scope changes proceed without proper authorization when possible.
- Assist accounting department with collection of past due accounts based on aged receivables report under the guidance of the A/R Manager
- Coordinate material procurement, lead times, and deliveries to support project schedules and minimize delays.
- Communicate schedule impacts or risks to internal teams and customers proactively.
- Coordinate project closeout activities including punch lists, final billing, documentation, and post-project review to improve future estimating accuracy.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or equivalent construction experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Bluebeam, Plexxis)
- Ability to visualize 3D from a set of 2D plans
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications
- Knowledge of general construction practices and products
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
