Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking food supplies and placing orders as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high standards of food quality are met.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food handling, and culinary best practices.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures within the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment effectively.
