Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Rock Hill outpatient location. In this role, you will evaluate and treat children with diverse needs, including those with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing challenges, and other disabilities. Your expertise will help children develop essential daily living skills, improve motor functions, and foster independence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in children’s lives while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assess children’s functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to support motor skills, sensory processing, self-care activities (assisting with ADLs), and overall development.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care plans and discharge strategies.
- Support children in early intervention programs, school settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems while adhering to medical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Assist with discharge planning by evaluating progress and recommending ongoing therapies or interventions as needed.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care across multiple providers and settings for optimal outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Hands-on experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and case management in pediatric or early intervention contexts.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to pediatric development and occupational health considerations.
- Prior experience in inpatient care or acute care settings such as ICU or medical-surgical units is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency in managing electronic health records (EHR).
- Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practices tailored for children with disabilities or special education needs across outpatient or school environments.

Pay: $52.15 - $62.58 per hour
