SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for processing payroll, recruiting support and the coordination and oversight of the HR administrative and compliance functions, providing excellent customer service and practicing confidentiality at all times. This position will also provide back-up to the HR Recruiter for recruiting, and assisting Director of HR as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Payroll

Serves as backup to HR Specialist
- Verify 401k enrollment, changes, etc. per guidelines as backup to HR Specialist
Orientation, Records and Personnel Files Management
- Provide backup in preparation of Welcome Week packets when needed

Backup to HR Specialist for Welcome Week
Recruiting
- Cross train to provide support in the offer letter process, background checks and as needed to assist with getting candidates to complete their background steps
- Cross train to support when needed annual background checks/DMV checks for agency

Serve as backup to the HR Specialist when needed
Compliance
- Local DSS & VADBDHS Audits

Audit personnel files and correct documentation paperwork.

Completes agency EEO, AAP, and related regulatory compliance reporting per guidelines

Assist department with COA accreditation process needs.

Manage Performance Evaluation process for agency
Communication, Data Entry, and Information
- Respond to employees’ tickets in the FreshService system as assigned
- Enter data into ADP, spreadsheets and generate reports as needed.

Work independently and within a team on ongoing and special projects.

Provide projects, and administrative support to the Director of HR.

Provide support in monitoring invoices for HR Department as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and two years Human Resources related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience and skills. Ability to understand and effectively use computers and other office equipment. Must be proficient in using PC and Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.

Good memory and recall is necessary for the accurate and timely transfer of data/information.
