Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves supporting associate teachers in implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of students.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of engaging curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide support in lesson planning and classroom management to create an effective learning atmosphere.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Collaborate with associate teachers to assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations.
- Support special education initiatives and early intervention strategies for children requiring additional assistance.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns related to child welfare.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; prior private school experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math concepts, and physical education teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with the High Scope curriculum or other educational philosophies is advantageous.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics while providing individualized attention to students as needed.
- Previous experience in a GSRP Classroom is beneficial.
