We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. Must have a minimum of 10 years experience In this role. You will be responsible for executing precise finishing work that elevates the quality and aesthetic appeal of residential and projects. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction finishing will ensure that each project meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and durability. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior trim, moldings, doors, windows, cabinetry, and fixtures with precision.
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute detailed finishing tasks accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking safely and efficiently to complete framing, siding, flooring installation, and other carpentry duties.
- Perform surface preparation including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and rebar installation as needed for project specifications.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while installing siding, doors, fixtures, or performing restoration work on existing structures.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure all finish carpentry meets design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks effectively on construction sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential carpentry, finish carpentry, or related construction fields.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers as well as power tools including drills, sanders, nail guns for woodworking applications.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials like framing lumber, siding materials, moldings, flooring options along with their installation techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and ability to follow safety protocols related to power tool operation and heavy lifting.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety regulations including power tool safety practices.
- Additional skills such as door hanging, fixture installation, mold remediation or remodeling experience are highly desirable.
