Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects, utilizing a wide range of carpentry and construction skills. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction, renovation, and restoration of structures, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Read blueprints (not mandatory)
- Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and fixture mounting.
- Assist in the installation of siding, roofing, stucco, drywall (including plastering), flooring, tile laying, and door hanging.
- Prepare construction sites by performing heavy lifting at times.
- Assisting in plumbing fixtures (mostly subbed work for plumbin), cabinetry, fixtures, and perform caulking or construction painting to finish projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety protocols and proper handling of wood construction materials and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Use of hand tools and power tools for carpentry, hanging doors, siding, windows, remodeling, renovations, bathrooms, kitchens, etc.
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on residential carpentry or general building projects is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, masonry tools, roofing equipment, and woodworking machines is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on busy construction sites.
- Previous work involving fixture installation, metal and wood stud framing, or remodeling projects will strengthen your application.
- Knowledge in power tool safety or relevant trade experience are beneficial; willingness to learn is key.
Compensation: $18 - $40/hr depending on experience. Room to move up within the company.
