Position Overview
Elite Refrigeration is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman HVAC/R Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. The technician will work day shifts Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime, performance-based bonuses, and a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments, repairs, and maintenance on HVAC/R systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and building automation systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Install HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including service reports and customer communications.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Follow company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman HVAC or Refrigeration license (or equivalent state certification).
- Minimum 4–5 years of field experience in commercial HVAC/R service and installation.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $71.11 – $78.18, depending on experience and qualifications
- Overtime Pay (1.5x)
- Double Time Pay for designated holidays or emergency service
