Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Engage with children through interactive lessons, play activities, and hands-on experiences tailored to their developmental stages, including toddler care and preschool activities.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones effectively.
- Manage classroom routines, maintain organized lesson plans, and ensure safety protocols are consistently followed to promote child welfare.
- Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting activities and providing targeted support.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori or other educational philosophies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families in their child's learning journey.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is a plus.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields preferred; relevant coursework or experience in toddler care and preschool education is highly valued.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diversity and promotes child welfare.
