Duties

- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations and industry standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Maintain detailed payroll records, reports, and documentation for audit purposes and financial reporting
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to verify employee data, benefits enrollment, and tax information
- Use advanced financial software to develop models that optimize payroll workflows and improve reporting accuracy
- Monitor changes in financial regulations related to payroll processing and implement necessary updates to procedures
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly
Skills
- Strong experience in accounting and finance with a focus on payroll processing and compliance
