QDRS (Qualified Demolition & Restoration Specialists) is a specialty contractor focused on abatement and demolition, delivering safe, compliant environmental work on projects across multiple states. As we grow our asbestos operations, we're looking for a proven abatement leader to build, run, and grow our company-wide asbestos program.
The Role
We're hiring a Director of Operations – Asbestos to take full ownership of our asbestos operations, from estimating and permitting through project closeout. This is a leadership position for someone who can manage crews, clients, compliance, and multiple projects across multiple states, and who thrives on the road. Travel is mandatory.
What You'll Do
- Build, implement, and track a company-wide asbestos program
- Manage multiple abatement projects simultaneously, from kickoff to closeout
- Lead crews, teams, and project schedules across markets
- Estimate asbestos projects and deliver them on time and on budget
- Meet with clients to develop and finalize scopes of work
- Apply for and obtain permits across multiple states
- Track and maintain medical records, training certifications, and the company-wide respirator
program
- Maintain multiple state certifications and licenses for the company
- Keep accurate, audit-ready project and compliance records
What You Bring
- Licensed at minimum as an Asbestos Supervisor / Project Designer (please list all certifications and the states in which you hold them)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in asbestos abatement
- Deep knowledge of asbestos standards and regulations: NESHAP, AHERA, EPA, and OSHA
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage crews, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects
- Efficient, disciplined record keeping
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly — this is non-negotiable
