Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained
- Handle janitorial tasks efficiently, including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and restocking supplies
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed
- Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs or safety hazards promptly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility during scheduled shifts
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred; experience with commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with reliable punctuality and a positive attitude
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks that may involve standing, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices or residential painting experience is advantageous but not required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully
