Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Account Executive to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be the key driver of client relationships and sales growth within the logistics and transportation industry. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation planning, and logistics will enable you to deliver tailored solutions that meet our clients’ unique shipping needs. Duties
- Develop new business opportunities through lead generation, client outreach, and strategic prospecting within the logistics sector.
- Manage existing client accounts by providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Coordinate transportation management activities including shipping logistics, freight brokerage, air freight, and trade compliance to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Utilize CRM software and EDI systems to track sales activities, update client information, and streamline communication processes.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive edge.
- Collaborate with internal teams on transportation planning, dispatching, and carrier sales to ensure smooth operations across all shipments.
- Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, transactions, and compliance documentation in accordance with international trade regulations such as FDA regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics company operations or supply chain management with a focus on transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong background in B2B sales, account management, freight forwarding logistics, and freight brokerage services.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), Microsoft Office suite, EDI systems
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with superior customer service abilities to build lasting client relationships.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and FDA regulations related to shipping logistics.
- Ability to handle data entry tasks accurately, manage dispatching operations efficiently, and communicate effectively with clients and carriers alike.
