We keep growing and keep searching for pie-tastic people to join the Birdie's flock! Currently, we are looking for a full-time employee for our pie shops in North Idaho. You will work at both the Post Falls and Hayden locations. Baker responsibilities include mixing dough, preparing fillings and garnishing. It also requires incredible customer service to pie guests coming into the shop.
To be successful in this role, you should have a lot of energy, positive attitude and be a team player who can always deliver the Birdie's experience with people who come in the doors. We bake a ton of absurdly delicious pies daily and you need to be able to manage time wisely and not be thrown off when custom request comes in. Ultimately, you will help us offer fresh and delicious pies to our pie guests on a daily basis.

Hours
30-40 hours per week. No Sundays. Part of our brand is to be baking while pie guests come into our shops. So we work normal hours, NOT like a traditional bakery of super early mornings or late evenings.

Salary: Our employees average $19-21 per hour once you account tips! $15.50 per hour to start + tips = $19-21 per hour! We guarantee 19 minimum or we pay the difference.
Responsibilities
-Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
-Bake different flavors of pie following specific recipes
-Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
-Mix various ingredients to create fillings for pies
-Prepare custom-made pies not part of the regular daily pies.
-Track food supplies, communicate needs well in advance and place orders, as needed
-Clean kitchen equipment, dishware and tools before and after use
-Exceptional customer service and ability to present our brand well to all.
Skills
-Experience in rolling out pastry is a huge plus.
-Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders
-Understanding of food safety practices
-Excellent time-management skills
-High-energy, positive personality ready to bake a lot of pies daily
-Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
-Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
