What You'll Do
- Perform geotechnical and geophysical field investigations
- Operate specialized testing and data acquisition equipment
- Collect, document, and submit field data and reports
- Assist with equipment mobilization and project logistics
- Conduct equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Work closely with project teams to ensure safe, accurate project execution
- Support mining, transportation, infrastructure, and commercial construction projects throughout the Western U.S.
What We're Looking ForRequired
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or Applied Science
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work
Preferred
- Previous field engineering, geotechnical, construction, drilling, or surveying experience
- Mechanical or electrical aptitude
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Travel & AdventureThis role requires frequent travel across the Intermountain West and surrounding regions, with most assignments lasting 7–14 days at a time. All out-of-town work includes a generous per diem.
