The City of Richmond, Department of Public Utilities, is seeking a qualified Project Manager to support the Water Resources group by managing all aspects of the Community Rating System program and reporting, the MS4 program and reporting, and some stormwater plan review. As assigned, work may include performing high level database analysis and queries; editing data; providing user support and training; and developing and maintaining policies and procedures. Additionally, incumbents may serve as lead workers, assigning work and monitoring work completion.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, civil or environmental, engineering, or water resources engineering.

Five (5) years of professional experience in area related to assignment

An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Dual VA DEQ Stormwater Plan Reviewer within 1 year of hire

ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager within 1 year of hire

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: Working conditions may include exposure to travel to other locations within the City of Richmond as well as outside of the City of Richmond; exposure to hazardous physical conditions such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, etc.; atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, gases, and poor ventilation; inadequate lighting; intense noise; and environmental hazards such as disruptive people, imminent danger, and a threatening environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Due to the nature of work assignments, incumbents must be able to perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks, with frequent interruptions and under time constraint. While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach extending hands and arms in any direction, stand, push, pull, lift, finger (picking, pinching or otherwise working primarily with fingers), grasp applying pressure to an object with fingers or palms, talk, see, and hear.
