Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles while following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Maintaining a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery within local areas.
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance requirements, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
- Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks preferred.
- Minimum 10 years CDL A driving experience.
