The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer with direct aerospace manufacturing, injection molding, and mold design experience.
This position will focus on developing and optimizing molding processes and tooling to improve quality, productivity, capacity, and repeatability. The ideal candidate understands how material behavior, mold design, equipment, and process parameters interact and can use data to identify and solve manufacturing problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding processes and molds.
- Design, modify, and improve molds, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) and/or Multi-Variable Statistical Analysis to optimize molding processes and tooling.
- Analyze material flow, process parameters, tooling performance, and molding defects to identify root causes and implement improvements.
- Support new product introduction, process validation, First Article Inspections, and production launches.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing routings, BOMs, labor standards, setup/run times, and cost models.
- Lead automation and capital equipment projects, including vendor selection, cost justification, and implementation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other data-driven methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience required.
- Injection molding experience required.
- Mold/tooling design and optimization experience required.
- Strong manufacturing troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing routings/BOMs.
- Proficiency with solid-modeling software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Highly Preferred
- Experience with DOE and/or Multi-Variable Statistical Analysis of manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with rubber, elastomers, silicone, plastics, or other molded materials.
- Experience with automation and capital equipment projects.
- Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
