We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our mobile Urgent Care team. This role involves providing in-home emergency department–level evaluations for medically complex elderly patients. Candidates ideally would have emergency department experience as a Nurse Practitioner. New graduating nurse practitioners with many years of nursing experience in the emergency department are encouraged to apply, extensive training can be provided. Applicants without some type of emergency department experience will not be able to perform the essential job functions.
The ideal provider will possess comprehensive medical decision-making skills, including the ability to diagnose, treat, and prescribe independently, as well as perform hands-on clinical procedures such as IV placement, laboratory draws, COVID-19 and influenza testing, Foley catheter insertion, and 12-lead EKGs. Comfort with working independently in a solo provider role would be ideal.
PAs applying would need to qualify for full practice without a supervising physician with over 10,000 hours of PA practice, and have prior nursing experience in the emergency setting. If these qualifications are not met PAs will not be considered.
This is a full-time position consisting of 4-5 workdays per week (32-40 hours). Benefits include health insurance coverage for the employee and two weeks of paid time off.
