Insurance Placement Solutions (IPS) has an immediate opening for an Actuarial Analyst with our client. This is a temporary opportunity supporting the development and implementation of pricing strategies for new Personal Lines insurance products. The position is fully remote and available to candidates nationwide.
In this role, you’ll work closely with actuarial and product teams to develop pricing models, prepare rate indications, support regulatory filings, and contribute to the successful launch of Personal Auto, Homeowners, Dwelling Property, and Umbrella insurance products in a new market.
Actuarial Analyst Responsibilities
- Develop pricing strategies for new Personal Lines insurance products
- Prepare initial rate indications and pricing analyses
- Evaluate rating plans and recommend pricing enhancements
- Provide actuarial support for state insurance rate filings
- Analyze data and develop pricing recommendations that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with Product Management and other business partners to support market expansion initiatives
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and actuarial documentation to support pricing decisions
- Participate in pricing model development, validation, and implementation
- Assist with actuarial research, trend analysis, and other special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of Property & Casualty pricing experience
- Strong background in Personal Lines pricing, including products such as Personal Auto, Homeowners, Dwelling Property, and Umbrella
- Experience developing rate indications and supporting insurance rate filings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across multiple departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more CAS exams completed
- Experience supporting new product launches or market expansion initiatives
- Familiarity with Personal Lines pricing methodologies and regulatory filing processes
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Teams
- Strong data analysis and spreadsheet skills
Work Arrangement
- Fully remote opportunity
- Candidates may reside anywhere within the United States
- Temporary assignment
- Approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
