The District Attorney's Office in Cheyenne has an immediate opening for an Assistant District Attorney. This attorney will prosecute misdemeanors and handle initial court proceedings in felony cases; they may also assist with the prosecution of felony cases. This involves preparing a variety of court documents, arguing motions before trial courts, and representing the State of Wyoming in jury and bench trials. The attorney will have daily interaction with law enforcement and coordinates case investigations. The positions require initiative, and independence, and will have responsibility for a substantial caseload, with one of the positions will take on domestic violence cases. There are opportunities for training and professional growth.
Candidates must currently be licensed to practice in Wyoming and be in good standing with the Wyoming State Bar. Candidates who are waiting for bar exam results or who are immediately eligible for admission by reciprocity may be considered.
