Summary
NOTE: This is a HYBRID Scheduler Caregiver role. Initially you will be required to be a Caregiver for clients during the week while working in the office 1 or 2 days a week as a scheduler. As business grows more hours will be spent as a scheduler in the office up to full time.
As a Scheduler at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in coordinating care services for our clients. This position is essential to our mission of providing high-quality support and ensuring that our clients receive the care they need when they need it.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage scheduling of caregivers to meet client needs effectively.
- Communicate with clients and their families to understand care requirements and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, client information, and caregiver assignments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and address any issues that arise promptly.
- Collaborate with management to optimize staffing levels based on client demand.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and caregivers alike.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical scheduling or administrative roles within the healthcare industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules efficiently.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
- Customer service experience is essential for fostering positive relationships.
Overview for Caregiver
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to patients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundering
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health or a related field is preferred
- Certification in CPR is requited
- Familiarity with hospice care and memory care practices is advantageous
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills and empathy towards senior patients
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country
