About the Role:
Providence Children's Academy in Coconut Creek, FL is looking for a warm, nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during the most critical stage of a child's development. Full-time position hours: 8:30 to 5:30 or 9:00 to 6:00
Completive pay with paid vacation and sick pay after probational period plus holidays off.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, compassionate daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Plan and implement age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities for infants
- Monitor and document each infant's developmental milestones and daily progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families through open and consistent communication
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols for infant care
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support each child's individual needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; (CDA or early childhood education coursework preferred)
- Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of infant developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education
- Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening as required by Florida DCF
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable with a genuine love for working with babies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- 45 DCF hours
