Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Provide guests with menus and inform them of daily specials or promotions.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
- Utilize POS systems for managing waitlists and processing orders when necessary.
- Uphold high standards of guest services, fostering positive guest relations throughout their dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to engage with guests effectively.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
