Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Solar Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing residential solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential solar installations to identify issues related to low voltage, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot system faults using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to determine root causes.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on solar panels, inverters, wiring, fixtures, and related electrical equipment following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Install new solar systems or upgrade existing setups with precision, including fixture installation and roofing work as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and forklifts safely and effectively on construction sites or customer locations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed on construction sites or rooftops while managing high voltage and electrical systems.
- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports and logs for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a residential electrician or in electrical construction with a focus on residential or commercial solar systems.
- Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards.
- Hands-on experience reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Experience in Enphase and SolarEdge Systems and Batteries.
- Able to troubleshoot and find ground faults in SolarEdge and Enphase Systems.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques, fixture installation, plumbing basics, and construction site safety practices.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and roofing equipment safely in various environments.
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Electrical experience with wiring installations, troubleshooting electrical faults, and system testing is essential for success in this role. Pay: $200.00 - $600.00 per day
