Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Social Services Director to lead our social services team. This pivotal role involves overseeing program development, managing relationships with clients and community partners, and ensuring the delivery of comprehensive support services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in social work or behavioral health, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and other needs.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and evaluate social service programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and other populations served.
- Supervise and mentor social service staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.
- Manage relationships with clients, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure coordinated care.
- Oversee administrative functions including documentation, compliance with regulations, and budgeting for social services programs.
- Lead efforts in behavioral health interventions and support planning to promote positive outcomes for clients.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and quality assurance measures; adjust strategies as necessary.
- Ensure all services adhere to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high standards of ethical practice.
Skills
- Proven management experience in social services or related fields with a focus on program development and supervision.
- Strong background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Excellent relationship management skills to foster partnerships with community organizations and healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated administrative expertise including budgeting, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while promoting a positive organizational culture.
- Knowledge of social work principles, behavioral health practices, and program management strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage clients, families, staff, and external stakeholders professionally.
