ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Advises returning and current students on academic and career development matters, through individual meetings and initial orientation.
- Monitors students’ academic progress using prescribed program procedures, recommending necessary services to remedy academic issues; implementing intrusive advising strategies aimed at retaining students; facilitating graduation; and enabling transfer.
- Collects necessary data, assists in report preparation, and maintains required documentation, all in a timely manner and in accordance with Federal program regulations.
- Provides general information about the college experience, and college programs, policies and procedures.
- Makes referrals to appropriate college offices for resolution of student personal concerns.
- Provides support for College registration events as needed in collaboration with Academic Advisement Office.
- Participates in college-wide retention initiatives.
- Collaborates with OIT on Re-Up program and student intake.
- Reviews semester Back-on-Track eligibility for funding.
- Supports organization of continual student correspondence.
- Outreach to caseload who did not register for the current semester and return to the program as well as currently registered caseload.
- Participates in ongoing professional development and training.
- Provides services at all three college locations, both in-person and virtually.
- Creates a welcoming and efficient environment by greeting students, answering the phone in a professional manner and responding to email in a timely fashion, etc.
- Follows all college policies, procedures and processes.
- Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
- Completes all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with Colleague/Student Planning, website navigation, virtual video platforms, Watermark SSE, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse population and exhibit superior customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and uphold college policies and procedures.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and courteous.
- Commitment to the community college mission.

Academic Year: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday 1:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Summer: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday 1:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
