Position Overview
The Shift Supervisor is a working front-of-house leadership position that combines guest service responsibilities with operational support duties. This role works alongside team members serving guests while helping coordinate shift operations, maintain standards, and support the day-to-day success of the restaurant.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, hospitality-focused, and comfortable performing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Provide exceptional hospitality and guest service at the counter.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Assist guests with menu recommendations and order questions.
- Ensure dine-in, takeout, online, and delivery orders are prepared and fulfilled accurately.
- Help resolve guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Shift Operations
- Support smooth day-to-day restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate workflow and assist team members during busy service periods.
- Help maintain food quality, service standards, and operational consistency.
- Monitor restaurant appearance and ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage.
- Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and vendor deliveries.
- Help track supplies and identify purchasing needs.
- Assist with daily cash handling procedures and operational reporting.
- Support training and onboarding of new team members.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, or retail experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume environment.
- Experience with POS systems and third-party delivery platforms is a plus.
- Basic computer skills, including scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
