Job Title: Manufacturing Associate # 1006125
Location: Cedar Creek, Texas 78612
Duration: 12-18 months
Pay Range: $22 - $24/hour on W2
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform plasmid and DNA purifications and perform DNA quantification using nanodrop spectrophotometer.
- Manufacture and test complex master mixes and bulks used in RT-PCR and QPCR kits.
- Manufacture and test microarray reagents used in genomic DNA labeling kits and hybridization kits.
- Analyze quantitative data and report results accurately.
- Actively assist in the execution of manufacturing process validations for new processes, products, and regulatory level validations.
- Actively assist with the introduction of new products and the exploration of new technologies for the improvement of product quality.
- Assist other teams in the production and testing of products as required and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain stocks of raw materials required for manufacturing and quality control testing.
- Maintaining a work environment based on 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Other duties include the writing, maintenance and reviewing of ISO-compliant Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
This is a full-time- contract opportunity.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- BS/BA degree in biological science or related field and two to four years of previous experience in chemistry, molecular biology, and/or biochemistry.
- Hands on working knowledge of standard laboratory techniques of molecular biology is required, including plasmid purifications, PCR and QPCR.
- Experience with NGS or microarray testing is a plus.
