At Georgia Geriatrics, we specialize in providing compassionate, high-quality care to seniors throughout the state of Georgia. We are currently seeking experienced caregivers who have worked with dementia patients and are familiar with hospice care needs. If you're patient, dependable, and truly passionate about helping others, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hourly, non-medical care for multiple elderly clients in the comfort of their homes.
- Support individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, managing behavioral changes, confusion, sundowning, and memory loss.
- Assist hospice patients with comfort-focused daily routines and end-of-life support.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and safety monitoring.
- Prepare meals, perform light housekeeping, and assist with personal hygiene.
- Accurately document daily activities and report significant changes in the client’s condition.
- Communicate effectively with family members, care coordinators, and medical professionals.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience caring for individuals with dementia and/or in hospice settings.
- Experience with end-of-life care, memory care behaviors, and managing challenging symptoms.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 40 minutes for assignments.
- Must be compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- A working cell phone is required for communication during assignments.
- Weekend availability is a plus.
