Teacher Assistant
Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated afternoon Assistant Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. These roles involve working with children in the Infant and Preschool classrooms, implementing the Primrose curriculum and effective teaching strategies to promote learning and growth. At times will be required to sub in other classes with different age groups from 6wks to 12yrs of age.
Requirements for Teacher Assistant
- Experience in Early education, Montessori, or daycare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for educating young minds and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
Duties for Teacher Assistant
- Implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards.
- Enhance lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education support.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good conduct.
- Provide care for young children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports the individual learning styles of each child.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood education.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
