You'll travel to each customer's home or business and remove items they no longer need. Jobs range from removing one large item, to full home clean-outs and light demo work.
Every day is different, so successful Junk Hauler & Drivers demonstrate flexibility, a commitment to customer service, problem solving skills, and a positive mindset. Junk hauling is physical work as the items may be large or heavy.
Responsibilities:
As a Junk Hauler & Driver, no two days are the same. You will:
- Start your day with the team at our truck location in McKees Rocks, PA.
- Travel in our company dump truck to various homes and businesses across the Pittsburgh region.
- Show up with professionalism and a positive attitude. Maintain accurate records of services rendered and payments received.
- Safely remove unwanted items, which can range from a single piece of furniture to a full property cleanout.
- Problem-solve on the go, figuring out the best way to tackle each unique job.
- Ensure items are sorted for donation, recycling, or proper disposal at the transfer station.
- You may be asked to do marketing tasks on occasion (door hangers, flyers, etc).
Key Requirements (The Must-Haves):
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Physically capable of repeatedly lifting 50+ lbs throughout the day.
- Reliable transportation to and from our truck yard in McKees Rocks, PA.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills—you're the face of our company!
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Bonus Points (Preferred, But Not Required):
- Previous experience in junk removal, moving, general labor, landscaping, construction, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Customer service or sales experience is a huge plus.
- Experience driving larger vehicles (box trucks, small dump trucks, etc.). NO CDL REQUIRED. We provide all necessary training on our vehicles for Driver roles.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)
- Additional Earnings: Daily tips + opportunities for performance bonuses.
- Positions: Full-Time and Part-Time available.
- Schedule: Primarily Monday - Friday, with some opportunity for weekend hours.
